Melvin Scott ’05

Melvin was a member of the 2005 UNC Menís National Championship team. While playing for Carolina he typically played shooting guard, but also regularly played point guard. His achievements include a 10.6 point game average while playing in 92 career games, more than any other active Tar Heel, and he is tied for 7th place in UNC history with 138 3-pointers.

Melvin enjoyed being in USA Todayís Super 25 selection as a senior in high school, and his high school jersey is retired. He broke the 3-point shooting and scoring records at the USA Olympic Festival Youth Development Camp (27 of 55 in 5 games). He graduated from Carolina in 2005.
